Branched is not a contractor
Branched is a referral and connection service. Branched is not a contractor, does not perform construction or repair work, and does not hold a contractor's license. In California, contractors are regulated by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Branched is not licensed by the CSLB and does not perform work that requires a contractor's license.
Your agreement is with the professional
When you submit a request through Branched, we share your information with one or more participating local service professionals. Any agreement to perform work is between you and the professional you choose — not with Branched. Branched is not a party to that agreement.
What Branched does not guarantee
- We do not guarantee that any professional will contact you.
- We do not guarantee quotes, pricing, or the quality of any work performed.
- We do not guarantee that a specific professional serves your area.
- We do not warrant or endorse the workmanship, insurance, or licensing of any professional.
Verification is limited
Where a professional provides a license number, Branched may review it before showing a verification status. This review confirms that a license number was provided and checked — it is not an endorsement of the professional, their work, or their compliance with all applicable requirements. You should independently verify any professional's license, insurance, and references before hiring them.
Checking a California contractor's license
In California, you can verify a contractor's license through the Contractors State License Board at cslb.ca.gov or by calling 1-800-321-CSLB. We encourage you to do this before hiring any professional.
Your right to cancel
Submitting a request through Branched does not create an obligation to hire anyone. You are free to decline any offer, and you are never required to accept a quote or hire a professional referred through Branched.
